Insights
People buy and sell second-hand items on Marktplaats daily, reducing the demand for newly produced goods and promoting more sustainable choices. During the meetup, we showed how, at Marktplaats, we strive to reduce e-waste through refurbishment and leverage opportunities through partner collaboration, iteration and discovery. Our Product Manager, Willemijn van Woerkom, highlighted how Adevinta and Marktplaats champion sustainable commerce, driving the shift towards circular consumption through scalable re-commerce initiatives.

Panel Discussion
The panel discussion featured Willemijn van Woerkom (Product Manager) alongside April Sunshine te Spenke (Product Manager) and Mathilde Boulard (Group Product Manager) representing Adevinta and Ciara Bergin, Senior Technical Product Manager at Booking. They shared real-world examples from their daily work and offered meaningful insights into product management and development.
“What I hope people will remember after attending this meetup is that we are actually empowering Women in Product and working hard to create sustainable and innovative solutions for customers to trade goods in a good way”.
April Sunshine te Spenke

Networking and Q&A

The event concluded with an engaging Q&A session and networking opportunities, allowing attendees to delve deeper into the topics discussed and explore the dynamic world of Women in Product.
