Our presence at leading tech events shows our commitment to raising awareness of Adevinta and our local brands across Europe.
As part of this effort, we sponsored The Next Web (TNW) Conference, a major tech event held in Amsterdam in June. For 2 days, with over 12,000 visitors, we shared our commitment to champion sustainable commerce by giving second-hand items a new chance.

Adevinta’s Presence at the TNW Conf
Adevinta had an absolute blast engaging with attendees and making connections at the TNW Conference! Central to our presence was the ‘House of New Chances’ booth, an interactive space where visitors immersed themselves in our journey to change commerce together.
To ramp up the excitement, we hosted raffles featuring items purchased on Marktplaats with 1,500 participants. This approach aligns with our broader goal of promoting sustainable commerce and reducing environmental impact. Needless to say, the winners were thrilled with their prizes. They also enjoyed the chance to connect with the Adevinta team. They earned more about who we are and how to join our journey to change commerce together.
Our entire brand presence was based on being as sustainable as possible. Our booth was entirely repurposed eco-friendly wood, we used rental furniture and printed our branding on PVC-free eco-front lit material. Our coffee bar was also stocked with eco-friendly cups that could be returned to reusable collection hubs across the venue.
Sharing our expertise with the tech industry
Peter Aker, Global P&T Transformation Director, delivered an inspiring talk on the second-largest stage to showcase Adevinta as a champion for sustainable commerce.
“To make second-hand the new choice, we need to remove the barriers to re-commerce. At Adevinta, we leverage our local expertise at scale, turning that scale into efficiency, innovating with generative AI, and accelerating through partnerships.”
