We are looking for a dynamic Reward and Performance Manager to bring our total rewards strategy to new heights. In this important role, you will report to the HR Director and lead the design, management, and optimization of the best compensation, benefits, recognition, and wellbeing programs that align with mobile.de's strategic goals and regulatory landscape.

You will create equitable total rewards solutions that attract, motivate, and retain top talent across our growing organization. Your expertise will ensure our programs remain competitive and market-leading helping us to become a top 50 organization.

This role will be reporting to the CHRO (Chief HR Ops) and is based in Berlin.

What you will do:

Compensation Strategy and Analysis:

  • You will develop and implement compensation strategies that align with our business aspiration while you will conduct market analyses to provide a great compensation package practices.

  • You will design and manage salary structures, incentive plans, bonuses, and performance-based rewards that recognize single and company performance while also ensuring sales incentive programs are set up to lead the right behaviours and with the right governance in place. 

  • You will also ensure compliance with German labor laws and help us prepare to comply with the EU Pay Directive. Furthermore, you will conduct audits and reviews of compensation programs to ensure equity, effectiveness, and data integrity.

Job Leveling and Structure:

  • You will develop a job leveling framework to ensure evaluation and classification of roles across the organization while you will collaborate with Managers to assess roles, determine appropriate compensation levels, and align job titles and structures with market standards.

  • You will provide guidance on job leveling during recruitment, promotions, and reorganizations to ensure transparency and consistency.

Performance Management:

  • You will lead the development of our performance management process, ensuring agreement on compensation and rewards programs.

  • You will design performance evaluation systems that link single and team contributions to compensation outcomes, including bonuses and salary adjustments.

Stakeholder Collaboration and Guidance:

  • You will partner with the leadership to provide expertise on compensation matters.

  • You will collaborate with finance on compensation budgeting and forecasting for all total reward programs.

  • You will present compensation reports, data, trends and recommendations to senior leadership for informed decisions.

Employee Communication and Engagement:

  • You will communicate total rewards offerings to ensure transparency and employee engagement.

  • You will maintain accurate records and prepare reports and regulatory bodies.

Benefits Management:

  • You will oversee the design and administration of employee benefits programs, including health, retirement, and wellness.

  • You will manage relationships with benefits vendors and brokers to ensure high-quality service delivery and also collaborate with Payroll and other teams.

  • You will guide a flexible benefits approach ensuring that we can maximise our resources and have benefits valued by employees.

Total Rewards Initiatives:

  • You will manage yearly compensation processes such as the annual variable incentive and salary review.

  • You will administer our performance cash plan and management incentive plan.

  • On top, you will contribute to broader Total Rewards and People Team programs.

Who you are:

  • You own a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field.

  • You gained 8+ years of experience within Rewards and Performance roles

  • You own solid knowledge of compensation theories, regulatory requirements, and industry trends.

  • You are proficient in HRIS and compensation management software (Workday preferred), while you have already used tools like Powerpoint/Excel/Googlesheets etc.

  • You own a strong understanding of German labor laws and market standards.

  • You are business fluent in English (verbal and written)
