Key Account Manager – Calgary

We are looking for a Key Account Manager to join our sales team in the Calgary region. You will maintain and grow our relationships with automotive and Non-Passenger  dealers. You will also service our most valued dealer groups and acquire new accounts. You will report to our Regional Sales Manager for Western Canada, work remotely from a home office while also spending time on the road visiting existing and potential clients.

What you'll do:

  • Build and maintain effective long-term relationships and a high level of satisfaction with senior-level decision makers and influencers at an assigned group of customer accounts.

  • Develop new sales opportunities.

  • Create demand for Kijiji’s  products and services by raising their profile with customers.

  • Achieve revenue targets by increasing revenue spend per account, and retaining client base.

  • Conduct regular status and strategy meetings with the customer's senior management to understand their needs and link them to the Kijiji's product/service strategies.

  • Use data and analytics to tell a story and help clients attain their goals.

  • Responsibilities are within the Account/Relationship Management Function as a generalist or in a combination of disciplines.

  • Develop an acquisition strategy following the organisation's targets and implement it.

  • Establish relationships with dealers, while promoting the Kijiji Autos brand.

  • Work with both inside and outside sales teams, and sales operation and support teams.

  • Provide reports on all activity using Salesforce, and forecast on acquisition numbers.

  • Understand Kijiji product offerings and other new products in the industry.

Who you are:

  • Track record in sales, or related experience – understanding of the automotive industry

  • Sales Skills – sales pitch, negotiating/closing business, objection handling

  • 3+ years of experience in new customer acquisition and the ability to cold call with a straightforward, positive and persistent style

  • Motivated by seeking opportunities and building relationships with new businesses

  • Background in web-based advertising – SEO, and SEM, web search, & digital media

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
