As we look back in 2022, Adevinta moved into a new phase of execution on its Growing at Scale strategy in 2022. The Group continued to lay solid foundations by creating a more integrated and efficient company, leveraging Adevinta’s scale and liberating resources to deliver long-term profitable growth.
As we look back on 2021, in many ways Adevinta feels like a new company. During the year under review, we became bigger, better and more successful. We have become the European champion of the online classifieds industry, operating a tried-and-tested business model in markets we know well.
Our top priorities throughout 2020 were to ensure our sites remained fully operational, to engage and support our users and customers, and to protect the health and safety of our employees. The Group still achieved a robust performance in extremely challenging circumstances.
The development of Adevinta has been sustainable in all aspects, including financially. Our group was born in 2019, following the demerger from Schibsted. Our teams worked very hard to establish an independent organisation, a global champion in Online Classifieds.
