We have embarked on transforming the best of our two Re-Commerce platforms, Kleinanzeigen and leboncoin, into a unified global platform supporting Adevinta’s generalist marketplaces.

We are already leveraging generative AI to transform our user experience and how we build and operate our marketplaces. And also streamlining our enabling AI capabilities to build smarter products and enhance our overall workforce efficiency.

  • Customer Obsession

    Our teams use the applications they build. They trade on our platforms and strongly identify with the user needs they are trying to solve. Together we are able to crack key topics to keep our marketplaces vibrant. This includes simplifying the purchasing journey with transactional features, removing fraud and adding features unique to specific categories and verticals. To avoid biases, our teams also validate their assumptions by heavily relying on data and insights and through continuous experimentation.

  • Generative AI

    We are extensively exploring generative AI at scale. Our focus is on prioritising product enhancements, such as the AI-assisted placement of ads on Adevinta marketplaces, improvements in SEO, improving the efficiency and relevancy of our customer relationships and generation of job descriptions. We are also investing in improving productivity with generative AI, including through assisted coding and automated code documentation.

  • Cloud & Infrastructure

    Cloud and infrastructure are a major focus as we consolidate our infrastructure landscape to a single public cloud vendor for our European marketplaces. We aim to be 100% cloud-native by 2025. Most of our European marketplaces have successfully moved to Amazon Web Services and our Canadian business to Google Cloud Platform.

  • Data & Analytics

    As we continue the journey to become an AI-native company, our Data & Analytics teams focus on maximising value out of data by fostering autonomy in data ownership and value extraction across all Adevinta teams, informing our decision-making and enhancing our customer experiences.
